Aspire Management Partnership - Customer Experience Day

Aspire Management Partnership - Customer Experience Day

15 Jun 2010

We are delighted to advise that our first Customer Experience Day will be on Monday 5th July

As you are all aware Customers are the catalyst to your businesses success. If they are not satisfied with the service they receive it could be damaging to any business. Customer retention and loyalty will be vital in the very difficult economic conditions we face over the next few years.

The response to our Awareness Days promotion has been very encouraging, and we are already taking bookings for this first event. We have limited each event to only 35 places to ensure we can deliver a relevant and worthwhile day to everyone.

This first event will be lead by Paul Cooper, Paul is a leading internationally acclaimed and passionate champion of customer service excellence and a former director of the Institute of Customer Service.  An information pack is included to take away and ensure all you have learnt can be shared with your colleagues.

EMBA Mini Masterclass: Leadership in an Uncertain World, University of Suffolk

01 Aug 2016

The next Executive MBA Mini Masterclass will be held on Monday 1 August, 6pm - 7:30pm, in the Boardroom, Waterfront Building Ipswich. Following on from the last EMBA Mini Masterclass the topic will be Leadership in an Uncertain World, lead by Dr Tom Vine, EMBA Course Leader.

Tom says, “We regularly hear calls for 'strong leadership', not least in times of uncertainty. But what of followership? We rarely ever stop to think what followership involves. In much the same way as politicians are having to acknowledge following the EU referendum an analytical focus on followership will better equip us as leaders. This short session explores the psychological dynamics between leadership and followership and in so doing suggests ways in which we can enhance organisational cohesiveness in times of economic uncertainty.”

If you are interested in attending, please could you email Laura Messer (l.messer@ucs.ac.uk) or telephone on 01473 338616.

Statement from John Dugmore, chief executive of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce on the Government's delay to Hinkley Point C

29 Jul 2016

Since the Brexit vote, Suffolk Chamber of Commerce  has been urging Government to boost business confidence by accelerating its approval of major infrastructure projects.

“Suffolk Chamber of Commerce welcomes the Board of EDF's approval of the final investment decision on Hinkley Point C. This could have helped to unlock further progress for Sizewell C. However, the UK Government’s decision to review the project is unhelpful and counter-productive. It creates unnecessary uncertainty among Suffolk’s business community at a time when they need and deserve a boost.
