Message from Suffolk Council Council re: The Budget Consultation
Thank you for engaging with us in our budget consultation.
We wanted to ensure that you were kept fully briefed of our plans as the consultation process moves forward.
During November and December we will be hosting a series of events across the county. Details about the events can be found at www.suffolk.gov.uk/WeAreListening where the free places can also be booked.
Later this month, we will provide feedback on what we heard from stakeholders in our consultation survey and service reviews during September and October. We asked Suffolk to tell us what services matters most to them, which they would be prepared to pay or pay more for as well as seeking views on how we could save money and we have been pleased with the response we received in answer to our questions.
We will also be in a position to share our thinking on the proposals for saving £50million over the next two years. These proposals will go to our Scrutiny Committee on 24 November and be shaped before going to Cabinet and finally full council on 9 February 2012. There is still time to influence this process and we will write to you again when these proposals have gone live, so that you can take the opportunity to comment on them.
