Suffolk County Council are working in partnership with The University of Hertfordshire, St Albans City and District Council and Hertfordshire County Council to develop a travel planning consultancy for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises. The initial phase of which is being launched in September 2010.
The project is designed to provide advice and support to 160 SME’s in St Albans and Ipswich, with the aim to develop their own personalised Travel Plans, with measures to make savings in the region of £10,000 and a 10% reduction in CO2 emissions per SME. Other than some employee time, there is no cost to the individual businesses.
The initial part of the project is to distribute an on-line survey questionnaire in order to gain some initial information about SME’s relating to travel habits/behaviour. The answers will be used to help plan the project and should take between 5-6 minutes to complete by business leaders or a manager.
