Joint event to address policing issues in Suffolk

18 Jan 2012
At a time of austerity for the economy across the country, and as public services are being given a wholesale review, Suffolk is planning to appoint a Police and Crime Commissioner to oversee policing in Suffolk.
On 30th January 2012 businesses in Suffolk will have the opportunity to hear from the Chief Constable and Chairman of the Suffolk Police Authority during a business networking event run jointly by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber of Commerce. The event, near Woodbridge, will explain how these changes will affect businesses across the Suffolk community.
Chief Constable Simon Ash and Chairman Joanna Spicer will be discussing how the budgetary challenges will re-shape services in the County, as well as looking at how topical issues such as the 2012 Olympics will impact businesses in Suffolk.
Taking place in the prestigious Best Western Ufford Park Hotel, Golf Club and Spa, near Woodbridge, and sponsored by Healey’s Print Group, attendees will have the opportunity to network with businesses from across the County over a delicious two-course lunch as well as share their views on the future of policing in Suffolk.
