Healthy Ambitions Suffolk Business Awards – the best ever!

Healthy Ambitions Suffolk Business Awards – the best ever!

29 Nov 2011

Healthy Ambitions Suffolk is hosting its third Business Awards ceremony on  Tuesday 6th December from 7.30 am – 9.30 am at  Trinity Park in Ipswich IP3 8UH

We will be celebrating the achievements of local businesses who are improving the health and wellbeing of their staff across Suffolk.

We will also be serving a healthy and tasty breakfast.

Healthy Ambitions Suffolk (HAS) is an exciting and dynamic young charity with the ambitious aim of making Suffolk the healthiest county in the UK by 2028.    Health and wellbeing in the workplace is central to the work being carried out by HAS and the inspirational Business Awards ceremony is instrumental in helping to develop a healthier and more productive business environment in Suffolk.

Dr Peter Funnell, Executive Chair of HAS says that through effective employee wellbeing schemes, employers can have a measurable impact on reducing illness, accidents, stress and sickness absence.

“As staff become more healthy, energised and motivated they bring with them all the benefits that are associated with positive, happy employees”, says Dr Funnell.

Healthy Ambitions Suffolk Business Awards have been designed to help organisations realise all the benefits of having healthy staff and so reduce the spiralling costs to the workplace associated with poor health.  In working towards the awards employers will also be doing their bit towards corporate and social responsibility.

With full support from Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and a keynote address by Dame Carol Black, the National Director for Health and Work, the 2011 HAS Business Awards Ceremony will be the best ever and will give participants the chance to find out more about the relevance of employee health in today’s climate, The Healthy Ambitions Suffolk Team, as well as a variety of health related businesses, will be on hand to offer help and advice on the range of support available
