01 Jul 2009
The Review partners are pleased to announce the beginning of the public consultation period, which runs from 1st July to 30th September 2009. The full Draft Shoreline Management Plan will be presented for public comment at a series of exhibitions in early July.
The partners - Waveney and Suffolk Coastal District Councils, Suffolk County Council and the Environment Agency in conjunction with Natural England, and Haskoning UK, the consultants dealing with the technical elements of the project - have arranged six exhibitions to present the full Draft SMP for the Suffolk coastline.
Each exhibition will be attended by Members and officers of the Partner organisations, along with representatives from Terry Oakes Associates Ltd, who are project managing the review, and Haskoning UK.
The review website (www.suffolksmp2.org.uk) contains further details of the public consultation, including the exhibition schedule and maps of the venues (at www.suffolksmp2.org.uk/exhibition) and the final Draft SMP.
