Suffolk to host ‘cross border’ exhibition of business excellence
The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce has announced an agreement with their colleagues in Cambridgeshire to boost the local economy during what the CEO of the Chamber has called ‘the most challenging of times for East of England plc.’
Suffolk Chamber is teaming up with the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce and Newmarket & District Chamber of Commerce, which is part of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, and Forest Heath District Council for a new exhibition.
The Two Counties Business Exhibition will take place on Wednesday 29 February 2012 at Newmarket Racecourse in Suffolk. Exhibiting businesses will have the opportunity to raise their profile amongst the wider business community and to showcase new products and services.
“It is one of the most challenging times for East of England plc,” said John Dugmore, Chief Executive of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. “With the national economy showing very little signs of growth, it is vital that this region continues to look at every opportunity there is to boost business.”
“By teaming up with the Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce and Forest Heath District Council we want to open up business opportunities and allow companies to take advantage and build success in new areas. It is a great opportunity.”
The exhibition has announced that one of its guest speakers will be Paul Shadbolt from Lloyds TSB who will be on-hand to discuss the London 2012 Olympics. Paul will also discuss with local business how companies are preparing to capitalise on the unique opportunity now just months away.
Other speakers at the cross border event include:
- Marketing company Method Creative who are sponsoring the exhibition, will be hosting a brand surgery for companies to discover their winning method. This seminar will be helpful for both start-up companies and established businesses in need of some fresh ideas and inspiration.
- The Mobile Movement: Understanding Smartphone Consumers. In less than two years it is predicted that 80 per cent of web browsing will be by mobile. This session, presented by Linda Dennison from West Suffolk College, will help businesses take advantage of this opportunity.
“We are encouraging business to take some time out of there busy schedules and come and take advantage of this special event,” John Dugmore added. “The Chamber is the voice of business and we look forward to welcoming companies from across the region.”
Companies can exhibit from as little as £125.00 per stand (plus VAT). Visitors can drop in anytime between 11.00am and 4.00pm to see the range of businesses and make connections. Delegates can also attend a selection of free seminars, which will provide a range of tools and knowledge to help businesses in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. Please click here for more...
