Chamber announces new partnership with experts to make exporting ‘more streamlined than ever’

The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce has this month announced a new partnership that will see businesses based in the county needing to export goods abroad given a trusted and quality service that will be ‘more streamlined’ than ever.
Businesses that need to export require documentation to clear customs or as proof of origin in to claim preferential duty rates or for banking purposes when payment is by Letter of Credit.
The Chamber has linked up with shipping services experts Wallis who will work with the International Trade team at Felaw Maltings to produce the valuable Letters of Credit confirming UK registration that are often required to accompany tenders or contacts.
“At this challenging economic time not only in the UK and the Eurozone, but across the world, Suffolk business needs to be able to export with more confidence than ever,” said John Dugmore the Chief Executive of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. “That is why we are delighted to announce this new partnership with Wallis that will mean our members can export with confidence.”
Wallis Shipping Services was established over 25 years ago as one of the first companies to provide a truly effective link between international buyers and sellers. They have achieved considerable growth whilst innovating and creating new solutions for the complex modern supply chain.
“We are very pleased to be working alongside the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce on this venture,” said the Managing Director of Wallis, Stuart Gregory. “Wallis Shipping has always had a very good relationship with the Chamber and we hope this will result in lots of support for firms looking to export their goods in the months to come.”
More information on the International Trade service is available at the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce office at Felaw Maltings from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm or click here.
