Fire Risk Assessment Consultancy UK Ltd

Fire risk assessments, fire safety engineering, guidance to architects and designers on safe means of escape using British Standard 9999. Staff fire training and fire warden training can be carried out on your premises causing less disruption to your daily business.
Previously a fire safety officer for 18.5 years (32 yrs total service), I was lead fire officer on many local notable Suffolk building projects. These include the rebuilt Center Parcs (not the one that caught fire!), Millennium Grandstand Newmarket racecourse, new grandstands and improvements at Ipswich Town FC. Developing the means of escape at the new Cathedral tower and cloisters at Bury St Edmunds was a challenge marrying modern building standards with mediaeval ones! I was also lead officer on the Cardinal Park Multi screen cinema and entertainment complex in Ipswich.
Fire Risk Assessments are carried out using 'British Standard Institute document PAS 79'. This is the document that most meets the benchmark for assessments laid down by the senior fire officers' organisation CFOA.
Design guidance and solutions can be given to Architects and Building Designers who meet challenges in solving means of escape problems in all types of buildings. Solutions can be made using either the Building Regulations, fire safety engineering or British Standard document (October 2008) 9999. BS 9999 is a new design code enabling the user to develop solutions using both management of the building and fire safety engineering.
Both staff and fire warden training can be carried out at clients' own premises.
Our training side of the business continues to grow and in March 2011 in partnership with Bureau Veritas we were delighted to be awarded a minimum of 3 years' contract to carry out staff and fire warden training for the RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland). These sessions will be carried out throughout the UK at RBS branches.
Our fire safety design continues to grow and we are currently involved in several design schemes in the UK from Kent to the West Country.
We are now in the second year of carrying out fire audits at several sites of one of the UK's (if not leading!) holiday operators.
Both myself and colleagues were very proud to reach the final of the East Anglian Daily Times 'Small Business of the Year 2007'.
The company motto is 'Advice with Integrity' which we all strongly believe in, whether this is in our delivery of services or any follow up advice.
Our MD is involved in a government advisory panel which is co-ordinating a competancy scheme for fire risk assessors as well as sitting on various fire related British Standard committees.
