Lowestoft & Waveney Celebrates Award Winners 2012
Enterprise, innovation and excellence were the themes for the 2012 Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, which culminated with a celebratory awards ceremony at the exclusive Zest Rooms at Potters Leisure Resort on the 6th of December.
Over 190 business delegates attended the evening which Michelle Gardner, Events Manager of the Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber, explained:
“We looked to recognise the outstanding people and businesses in our region, the investment being made and projects that will help establish the future sustainability of our local economy.”
“The aim of the awards was two-fold, it provided an opportunity for organisations to be recognised for their outstanding achievements, as well as enabling businesses in our region to show their support for each other by sponsoring awards.”
Jill O'Loughlin, Conference & Events Manager at Zest Rooms at Potters Leisure Resort who sponsored the 'Excellence in Customer Service Award’, commented:
“The nominations for ‘Excellence in Customer Service’ were of a very high standard, and I am sure that I speak on behalf of the other award sponsors by saying that the entrants were all worthy of their nominations and that the high standard of their applications certainly made choosing just one winner very difficult!.”
Michelle Gardner, added:
“The Lowestoft & Waveney Business Awards recognises businesses from all sectors, and of all sizes whether they are just starting out, or are innovatively developing our region.”
“It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, which is why it is important to take the time to concentrate on the positives, and to celebrate the successes we have locally.
“With the awards enabling businesses to enter themselves or nominate others they believe are making a difference, it means that those organisations which usually pass under the radar, are recognised for the outstanding work that they are doing as well as the contribution they make to our local economy.
“With yet another exciting year ahead with regeneration, the growth of the renewable sector and Enterprise Zone, the Portas Pilot & Lowestoft Vision bid it is envisaged that Lowestoft & Waveney will have even more to celebrate in 2013.
