Suffolk County Council - Suffolk Greenest County Award

People in Suffolk place a high value on the quality of life in the county. This award will recognise businesses that have an outstanding record for environmental performance and are promoting this across Suffolk and beyond." In recognition of an organisation with a defined environmental policy, showing evidence of a commitment to and achievement of sound environmental good practice and a recognisable attempt to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
The judges will be looking for evidence of success in the following broad areas:

  • Evidence of a written and audited environmental policy, demonstrating environmental compliance, supported by two examples of the company's commitment to environmental good practice.
  • Evidence of waste minimization, recycling, and/or energy efficiency schemes planned or in practice.
  • Emergency procedures and action plans in place to avoid negative environmental impact.
  • Examples of how the organisation benefits as a result of environmental good practice.
  • Examples of how an environmentally responsible approach has helped the business prosper through cost savings, increased sales and enhanced service delivery.
