Chamber Business Awards 2011

On 1st December 2011 we held our fourth Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber Business Awards. Once again held at the Zest Rooms, Potters Leisure Resort, Hopton-on-Sea, it was an event themed on entrepreneurism, innovation and excellence

Over 175 business delegates attended the evening which Tony Mallion Editor of Places&Faces and Paul Briddon, President of Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber, jointly hosted. 

Paul Commented; “We looked to recognise the outstanding people and businesses in our area, the investment being made and projects that will help establish the future sustainability of our local economy. The aim of the awards was two-fold, it provided an opportunity for organisations to be recognised for their outstanding achievements, as well as enabling businesses in our areas to show their support for each other by sponsoring awards.”

Paul Briddon, added “The Lowestoft & Waveney Business Awards recognises businesses from all sectors, and of all sizes whether they are just starting out, or are innovatively developing our region. It is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, which is why it is important to take the time to concentrate on the positives, and to celebrate the successes. With the awards enabling businesses to enter themselves or to nominate others they believe are making a difference, it means that those organisations which usually pass under the radar, are recognised for the outstanding work that they are doing as well as the contribution they make to our local economy. With an exciting year ahead with local regeneration, the growth of the renewable sector and the Enterprise Zone it is envisaged that Lowestoft & Waveney will have much to celebrate in 2012, and the awards will be an even bigger success.”
