Samuel Ward Academy Nominated for Top Education Award

Samuel Ward Academy was a runner-up for an Outstanding Progress Secondary Award at The Education Business Awards at the Emirates Stadium, London on Thursday 10 November.
The award is presented to the UK Secondary School that has made outstanding progress in the management of its faculties, finances and human resources and can demonstrate an increase in the educational performance of the school.
The Awards, sponsored by ETeach, recognise successful schools and projects that demonstrate how the dedication of teaching and management staff, coupled with sound investment, has delivered better learning environments. Awards presenter, Moira Stuart OBE, announced the winners in 22 categories covering a range of areas in education.
Samuel Ward Academy was commended for 'ongoing, vigilant management of improvements'. Professionalism, curriculum advances, achievement levels and teaching capacities were also highlighted.
Achievement Director Helen Jones, who attended the ceremony,said: "We are delighted that Samuel Ward received a commendation for all our achievements. This is a result of hard work and commitment from staff, pupils, parents and governors."
Sarah Howard, Chair of Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, said: We congratulate Samuel Ward on their nomination. We are delighted that Samuel Ward's achievements have been again recognised nationally and commended."
