Letter of support Haverhill Research Park
28 Mar 2011
Haverhill Chamber of Commerce has written a letter of support for the planned Haverhill Research Park being developed by Carisbrooke Investments, as part of the public consultation into the masterplan.
The park, planned for the Cambridge side of Haverhill at Hanchett End opposite the Spirit of Enterprise roundabout, will deliver an impressive, “gateway” development to the town comprising a high quality business/research park set within well-landscaped environment and, incorporate landmark buildings. In addition, approximately one-third of the site would be used to provide a compatible mix of other higher value commercial and residential uses to help fund the significant infrastructure costs and ground works needed to successfully develop the site.
Sarah Howard, Chairman of Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, said: “We fully support the proposals. Furthermore we feel that it forms an important part of the town’s economic future.
“The development offers much needed research and office space that will fill a demand that is currently not met in the town and will also bring new business and jobs to Haverhill.”
