Haverhill Research Park Gets Go Ahead

Haverhill Research Park Gets Go Ahead

12 Apr 2011

Plans for Haverhill Research Park being developed by Carisbrooke Investments, have been approved by St Edmundsbury Borough Council. The go-ahead has been given to the Master Plan for a high profile research park of around 450,000 sq ft on a 30 acre site to the north side of the town and work could start within the next 12 months.

Haverhill Chamber of Commerce had written a letter of support for the development and this week welcomed the news that approval had been received.

Alan Caldwell, Vice-Chairman of Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted that Haverhill Research Park has received approval from St Edmundsbury Borough Council and that plans can now move forward with the development. We fully support the proposals and we feel that it forms an important part of the town’s economic future.

“The development offers much needed research and office space that will fill a demand that is currently not met in the town and will also bring a wealth of new business and jobs to Haverhill.”
