Jan Cavelle Furniture are incredibly proud to announce that their own MD, Jan Cavelle, has been selected as one of the 50 dynamic enterprising women from all parts of the UK to make up the UK Female Entrepreneurship Ambassadors (UKFEA).

The UK partnership will work closely with the European Network.
Leading women’s enterprise specialists have been selecting female champions to spread the word in what the UK government has called the ‘Decade of the Entrepreneur’. In the UK, the programme aims to raise enterprise awareness in 20,000 females and engage around 2000 women and girls in some form of entrepreneurial activity by November 2012.
The 22 countries that are part of the ENFEA are: Albania, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden and the United Kingdom
“I am so excited but most of all incredibly honoured to be doing this “ says Jan. “I am an absolutely passionate believer that Enterprise is the essential ingredient of the economic recovery and that women have an absolutely huge part to play in this. To be part of helping to build this up is just absolutely amazing”.
Jan herself defied the odds and built a business that makes and sells furniture to a world wide market from an inauspicious start on a shelf under the stairs at home.
