Businesses in Haverhill will be able to hear more about how MENTA can help them with advice and support at the next Haverhill Chamber of Commerce Networking Evening on Thursday 25 March.

MENTA is a not-for-profit company which for over 25 years has been providing free and subsidised advice and guidance to new and established businesses in Suffolk. As well as providing one-to-one advice, workshops and training throughout Suffolk, runs two serviced office centres - one in Haverhill in Hollands Road, one in Bury St Edmunds.

Chief Executive John Riley will be providing an update on the services MENTA provides in Haverhill and Business Advisor Jo Garden will be telling businesses about how they can benefit from one-to-one advice.

In October 2009, MENTA won more than £100,000 funding to start an 18-month programme to help people living in the Haverhill area to think about starting a business and take control of their future. Supported by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) through the European Social Fund (ESF), it is FREE to all participants and is tailored to support those who would not normally be able or inclined to access mainstream business start-up support, and are currently not working. The programme’s Community Champion Chrissy Proctor will also be on hand during the evening to tell Chamber members about the project.

The networking evening takes place at Days Inn in Phoenix Road, Haverhill, from 6pm to 8pm.
