Chamber of Commerce and Council look to the future at ‘Hard-working Haverhill’ event

Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and St Edmundsbury Borough Council have worked together to organise a free networking event for businesses that looks at the future for Haverhill.
Leading Haverhill business Genzyme is hosting the event, called ‘Hard-working Haverhill’, on Tuesday 16 November at 6pm.
Guest speakers include Paul Logue, General Manager of Genzyme; Martin Garratt, Director of the Greater Cambridge Partnership; and Dr Dorian Hindmarsh, Business Development Manager for Hethel Engineering in Haverhill.
Chief Executive of St Edmundsbury Borough Council, Geoff Rivers, will set out the council’s plans for the next 12 months and invite views from businesses at the event which incorporates the council's annual business ratepayers consultation meeting.
Geoff Rivers said: “We are delighted to be working with Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and Genzyme in organising this event. It’s a great chance for us to find out what Haverhill businesses really want and discuss how we can work together to make Haverhill an even better place for business.”
Sarah Howard, Chairman of Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, said: “This is a unique opportunity for businesses in the town, small and large, to ask questions of the chief executive of the borough council about issues that directly affect them. We would urge businesses in the town to send a representative and make sure that their views on any business issues are known.”
The event also offers a chance for businesses to come along and find out more about the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and network with other business people.
