Celebrity Apprentice announced as host of Haverhill Awards 2011

30 Nov 2010
TV’s Apprentice star Claire Young is to be guest of honour at the next Haverhill Chamber of Commerce Awards. In series 4 Lord Alan Sugar called Claire ‘a great sales person and a great presenter’ but she narrowly missed out to fellow contestant Lee McQueen. Claire has agreed not only to host the evening due to be held at Chilford Hall, Linton on Saturday 14th May 2011, but also to act as guest judge for the Young Entrepreneur category.
Claire, 31, is very much looking forward to visiting Suffolk in the Spring. She said: “ I'm delighted to be not only judging the Young Entrepreneur category, a vital section of the business community which is very close to my heart, but also to be hosting the night. I firmly believe celebrating success is key to the growth of both businesses and people as individuals. We all work so hard it’s important to acknowledge our employees and make them feel valued. Highlighting local businesses for their hard work and determination is something I firmly believe in as it helps enormously to raise their profile as leaders of excellence in their market place.”
Since leaving the TV show the Apprentice finalist works closely with the NAS – National Apprenticeships Service and has an apprentice currently working for her. Claire also works with a number of organisations including the Young Chamber of Commerce, Young Enterprise and Enterprise UK. She’s also busy with after dinner speech engagements all around the UK.
Sarah Howard, Chairman of Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, said: “This year’s awards promises to be the best yet and a great way for Haverhill to celebrate and recognise the talents of businesses and entrepreneurs in the town.”
If you’d like to meet Claire and attend what is expected to be the best awards ceremony night yet for Haverhill Chamber of Commerce you can purchase tickets online.
