All Change!  Varying Employee Terms and Conditions

Given that the employment relationship is dynamic it often becomes necessary to change employees' terms and conditions.  The need can arise in a wide range of situations.  For example, it may be that benefits have to be cut to maintain the viability of the business or that an employee's duties have to change.  Whatever the circumstances, it is important to understand the mechanics of how to bring about a contractual variation.  Going about things the wrong way could mean that the new terms are unenforceable and could invite litigation!
