All Change! Varying Employee Terms and Conditions
Given that the employment relationship is dynamic it often becomes necessary to change employees' terms and conditions. The need can arise in a wide range of situations. For example, it may be that benefits have to be cut to maintain the viability of the business or that an employee's duties have to change. Whatever the circumstances, it is important to understand the mechanics of how to bring about a contractual variation. Going about things the wrong way could mean that the new terms are unenforceable and could invite litigation!
At our next Early Bird session you will find out about:
When it is appropriate to change employees' terms and conditions
Flexibility clauses and how they can be used to change contracts in light of Bateman v Asda
The methods of bringing about a change to terms where they are not permitted by the contract
Your information and consultation obligations
How to reduce your risks of litigation
There will also be the usual topical case round up (and hot bacon sandwiches too!)
Cost: Free of charge
