Accounting for Business Resilience - hands on workshops for accountants

Groundwork East of England in partnership with the Environment Agency are running a series of interactive workshops across the East of England for the advisors that are often closest to the business - Accountants.

Ideally placed to offer business management advice, the aim is to give accountants and financial advisors the understanding and tools to help keep small businesses safe and viable in a changing climate.

Each workshop will guide delegates in the use of resilience tools, information, processes and templates so that they can prepare action plans to help their business clients. The delegates and their business clients will also receive post workshop support from Groundwork East of England as they make changes to their business plans.

The project is supported by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and in Suffolk by the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership. It is hoped that forward thinking accountants will be keen to participate and that small businesses will also nominate their own advisors to take part in the programme.

Priced at £50, the Suffolk workshop will be held at Larking Gowen in Gt Blakenham, near Ipswich on April 26th 2012. To book a place please contact Ann Hilsdon on ann.hilsdon@groundwork.org.uk
