Ipswich Youth Employment Seminar

IPSWICH
IP CITY CENTRE
01/02/2012 7:30AM to 9:30AM
We are delighted to invite you to the “Ipswich Youth Employment Seminar” on Wednesday 1st February at Ip City Centre. We start at 7.30am for 8.00am and will close at 9.30am. The event is free and breakfast is included.
Ipswich Borough Council, Job Centre Plus and other key stakeholders are jointly delivering this breakfast time event aimed at exploring how we can work together to reduce youth unemployment in Ipswich.
There will be speakers from IBC, Princes Trust, National Apprenticeship Service and Job Centre Plus during the morning.
In November the Government announced a number of measures aimed at providing help for unemployed young people. These incentives can be worth up to £2,275 each.
In Ipswich we have 1513 18-24 year olds claiming Jobseekers Allowance. Ipswich Borough Council and Jobcentre Plus want to work with other partners and employers to support these young people into work, apprenticeships and training.
We do hope you can join us at this important seminar to find out more about the programmes that are now in place.
Please RSVP to Sally Lambe (sally.lambe@ipswich.gov.uk or 01473 432918).
Thanking you
Yours faithfully
