Do your bit to back young Suffolk

Do your bit to back young Suffolk

IPSWICH

TRINITY PARK

13/03/2012 9:30AM to 12:30PM

Did you know that around 1,600 young people in Suffolk aged 16-18 years are not involved in education, training or work and over 4,000 18 to 24 years olds are unemployed?

We invite you to help us reverse this trend by joining us at an event on Tuesday 13 March, 9.30am to 12.30pm at Trinity Park, Ipswich, entitled Education, Experience, Employability –Supporting Successful Futures Together.

Our objective is to unlock the potential of Suffolk’s young people by giving them the skills and opportunities they will need for the future.

Under the heading Backing Young Suffolk we want to celebrate the many positive and successful initiatives already in place thanks to support from Suffolk businesses. We also want to encourage new organisations to get involved by giving young people the best possible start and boosting our local economy at the same time.

Please join us by backing young Suffolk. I look forward to seeing you on 13 March.

Cllr Judy Terry
Portfolio Holder for the Greenest County, Economy and Skills
Suffolk County Council
