IPSWICH, IP2 8SQ
SUFFOLK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE, FELAW MALTINGS, 42 FELAW STREET
13/02/2012 9:00AM to 10:30AM
The Government’s recent retail report, prepared with input from Mary Portas, shows that a third of high streets were ‘degenerating’ or ‘failing’. Competition from the web, the loss of big names in town centres and parking issues are all cited as factors which have impacted on performance.
Marketing through social media platforms gives high street retailers a way to 'fight back' effectively, increase awareness of their products and services and ultimately, to increase sales.
This free event highlights some of the tools and techniques that retailers can utilise including:-
-Facebook pages including a focus on events and FBML
-Twitter campaigns including competitions, discounting and referral incentives
-Location based services including Foursquare, iPatter and Google Places
-YouTube and its applications for business
Places are limited so an early response is advised.
