An Economist's View of Green Consumerism, Environmental Technology and Climate Change

IPSWICH WATERFRONT IP4 1QJ

UNIVERSTIY CAMPUS SUFFOLK, WATERFRONT BUILDING, NEPTUNE QUAY

22/09/2011

An Economist looks at green consumerism, clean technology, global warning, and environmental policies.

Can simple economic ideas help to promote a sounder understanding of these issues?

Dr. Giovanni Baiocchi is a senior lecturer in Business and Economics of Climate Change at the Norwich Business School.

He has a strong commitment to research on sustainable development and climate change. In addition he is interested in the impact of economic activities, including international trade and technological development, on the environment, and on innovative ways to assess the environmental impact of lifestyles. These results are used to derive useful climate change mitigation policy recommendations aimed at encouraging consumers to adopt a more sustainable pattern of consumption.

This event is open to CMI members and non-members alike and is free of charge.
