Anglian Water
We recently announced that we are providing an additional £135 million in customer support throughout 2023 for those struggling with the cost of living.
This is our largest ever support package for our customers and builds on a £65 million package already announced for 2022. We expect that it will help an estimated 330,000 customers over the next year. For many of our customers and their families, next year is going to continue to be very difficult. We’re proud of the support that we’ve already provided, but given the incredibly challenging reality for so many, we wanted to go even further to help our customers.
The scope of this £200 million support package means we can help even more people in a way that’s tailored to their individual circumstances. This includes discounted tariffs on water bills of up to 50 per cent for eligible customers, temporary payment plans, forgiveness schemes, payment breaks in certain circumstances, and also includes direct support through the Anglian Water Assistance Fund, which is specially designed to help cover the cost of bills when people are going through the most challenging times.
In addition to this direct support, we also help our customers identify wider external packages available to them which can help ease their financial burdens.
Whatever the circumstances, our message to our customers is: if you’re struggling, please get in touch. The sooner we talk, the sooner we can help. We would be grateful if you would share this message via your networks. Customers can contact us via our website, Twitter or Facebook accounts or call our Extra Care Team directly on 0800 169 3630.
